retrofit vintage

  Retrofit Vintage opened it's doors in a small storefront in the heart of the mission district in San Francisco, California in 1996. Two locations later, the store still resides in its 3rd location on Valencia and 20th. Alison Hoekstra and Audrey Wackerly owned and operated the store for 8 years and handpicked each vintage item. Hoekstra was responsible for the ever-changing window displays that kept passerbyers peeking in to see what was coming next. Retrofit Vintage was featured in Travel and Leisure, 7X7, Lucky, WHERE, San Francisco Magazine, San Francisco Examiner, Unique Places in San Francisco Valencia Street Guide and The San Francisco Chronicle Datebook. They sold the store in 1999 where it thrives under the direction of it's current owner, the always charismatic Mr. Steven Lamay.
